Daily Update: Is Impeachment Likely?
Monday Jan 11, 2021
Monday Jan 11, 2021
We took a break from our Daily Updates over the holidays, but now we are back!
Jan. 11th, 2021
After last week’s attack on the Capitol, impeachment talk has been prevalent. However, the logistics and legality of impeaching Trump are questionable. With a Biden presidency less than two weeks away, it seems unlikely that the impeachment proceedings will move through the House and the Senate in time. Especially since the next day that Senate meets is on Jan. 20th— the day of Biden’s inauguration. Given that impeachment is intended to remove someone from office, it seems unlikely that Biden will want to start off his presidency by impeaching someone no longer holding office. We will see how it all plays out.

Daily Update: Bill Barr, the Electoral College, & Dr. Biden
Tuesday Dec 15, 2020
Tuesday Dec 15, 2020
De-Briefing the Law, Daily Update, Dec. 15th, 2020
Yesterday, Attorney General Bill Barr turned in his resignation. He couldn’t stick it out one month longer. Not sure we blame him. Also, yesterday, the Electoral College casted their votes for our president and Joe Biden won. Again. Will this be the end of election lawsuits? It’s too soon to tell. However, it isn’t too soon to call Jill Biden by her deserved title of Dr. Biden. Though, I can’t help but wonder if lawyers feel a bit slighted by not getting to go by doctor even with their juris-doctor degree. Oh well.
